It feels like just yesterday that Sara and I started talking about collaborating in the Spring, so I am still in awe of the fact that the first week of April has come and gone and I am finally able to share with you some of the most wonderful leggings out there for your little ones! This week's Shop Spotlight is on Vivie & Ash, a shop that specializes in handmade clothing with organic cotton in some of the most fun patterns I've ever seen! 

Sara, the owner and designer behind every product you see, named her shop after her two adorable children, Vivienne and Asher. She is also incredibly kind and wants to be sure each and every customer loves what they have purchased!

Over the past few months, it has been such a pleasure getting to know Sara and learning more about how this chapter in her life began. Vivie & Ash marks the start of Sara's "third career." Right out of high school, Sara danced ballet professionally for 5 years always, knowing it was not something that she wanted to do forever. Once Sara decided to hang up her dancing shoes and go to college, she majored in business at IU's Indianapolis campus. From there she landed a position with a global software company and sold fundraising software to non profit organizations. 

Everything changed when they had their first child three years ago. Sara knew she would to love him to pieces, but she was not prepared for the mama's guilt that sets in when you are away. She tossed around the idea of starting a little clothing line then and took some sewing classes, but the timing just wasn't right and she returned to work full time. Sara dreamed of having a more flexible schedule and being able to spend her days at home with her son. Last summer after welcoming a beautiful baby girl, Sara took a leap of faith and left her full time job. Once the decision was made she couldn't stop thinking about opening her shop. After determining the shop name, she decided she would open right after the busy holidays were over.

Since opening, she has found that there is this amazing community of mamas creating beautiful handmade children's clothes... a lot of which is done while their children are sleeping. It's a perfect fit for her. She's always wanted to own her own business, get back to her creative roots, and spend her days with her little ones. Sara wants her clothing line to reflect the vibrant spirit of the little ones that inspire her every day.

Sara so generously sent me a pair of the geometric swan leggings to put on Miss Olivia and review as part of this feature. I first have to say that wearing any pair of leggings from Vivie & Ash pretty much makes you the coolest baby on the block:

But seriously, these are fabulous! So soft and with such vibrant colors, no pair would be a disappointment. 

What Vivie & Ash is known for: Leggings in stylish + modern patterns, both for girls and boys as well as gender neutral options; twirl skirts, baby hats, knotted headbands & shorts in the same fabulous patterns 

What sets Vivie & Ash apart: In my mind, this shop is set apart because (1) Every product available is organic cotton and (2) The patterns are unlike anything you will find elsewhere!

My Favorite Products: Oh, everything! The swan and flamingo leggings, the Narwhal shorts and the Black & White Tribal Skirt are my top!

Product Review: Swan Leggings, Size 12-18 months

Quality & Craftsmanship: These leggings are so clearly well-made. The organic fabric is printed with low impact dyes; it is high-quality and durable and the leggings have just the right amount of stretch without being too baggy or too tight. The stitching is all precise and all seams are professionally served for durability. 

Overall Appearance & Opinion: These came in the most adorable "packaging" -- I love the brown hand stamped kraft label and the twine the leggings are wrapped in. The color is as vibrant as it is in photos and they are so darn adorable on Olivia, I just can't get enough!

Value & Recommendation: Priced at $32, these leggings are a great price for what you are receiving! Most leggings are between $28-$36 and often times are not offered in organic cotton. These would make a great gift for any friend or family member and also would be a perfect way to add a fun and modern piece to your own babe's wardrobe!
