chocolate chip cookie dough truffles

These chocolate chip cookie dough truffles are by far one of my favorite desserts -- they are sure to impress no matter the occasion!

They are the perfect balance of sweet & savory with the bittersweet chocolate coating and just the right amount of cookie dough to satisfy you without being too rich. What's even better? They are SO unbelievably easy, I could make them with a little babe in my arms!

So for all you multitaskin' Mamas out there -- this one's for you!

Recipe Makes Approximately 20 Truffles

I N G R E D I E N T S
½ cup butter, softened (1 stick)
¼ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar (packed)
2 T whole milk
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 ¼ cup flour (William’s Sonoma Cup4Cup GF Flour)
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup mini chocolate chips (Ghiradelli is my fav!)
8 oz dark chocolate*
*My favorite kind to use is TCHO 66% dark chocolate disks; found at Whole Foods in an 8 oz package

1.   Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth
2.   Mix in milk and vanilla
3.   Stir in flour and salt, then chocolate chips
4.   Cover dough mixture and chill for 30 minutes
5.   Once chilled, scoop dough into small balls (approximately 1 TBSP or slightly smaller depending on preference)
6.   Melt dark chocolate using a double boiler and roll each ball in chocolate, coating evenly
7.   Set truffles onto cookie sheet lined with tin foil
8.   Put cookie sheet into fridge to chill truffles an additional 20-30 minutes
9.   Once slightly hardened, pull out & devour (& I dare you to try to eat just one)

  1. You're so welcome! They are so easy and would be the perfect dessert for a party...I might try making them and putting them on sticks like cake pops! :)
